BIOGRAPHY Henry Fiol: singer, composer, percussionist, director of orq.,
producer and writer born in New York where he has always lived.

Italian-American Children: Henry Fiol father of three children. The biggest, Orlando, pianist / arranger / percussionist who sometimes works with his dad.
Education: Graduated from Hunter College in New York where he studied art and received his degree in fine arts, BFA.
Work Experience: Before starting his career in music, working as an art teacher in Catholic schools in New York, and later as an advisor for students with behavior problems in public schools in New York.
Artist: At the time of the LP, painted all the covers of his albums --- in 1978 he won the prize for Latin New York magazine as "best cover of the year" for his painting on the cover of their first LP Saoco, "I'll always Guajiro" --- but since the format of the recordings was reduced to the size of CD, has stopped using his original art for photography.
Composer: Over the years, most of Henry Fiol issues have been of his own authorship, and although not read or write music, has always actively participated in the preparation of his arrangements as well.
Writer: At the end of the 90's, went on to write a novel in English, entitled The Short End of the Stick. Although finished, so far unpublished work.
Musical Career: Started nearly forty years ago as a conga player and vocalist with several salsa groups from New York to the early 70's.
1974-1978: Co-founder, co-director, Saoco conga player and singer, he composed most of the work and recorded two LP's.
1980-1982: He recorded two LP's with SAR Records as a solo artist, and was lucky to score several hits number-one in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic. Traveled to Latin America, doing numerous television programs.
1983-1984: He formed his own band, "Heart", with whom he recorded for the first time using his idiosyncratic instruments trumpet with tenor sax.
1983-1987: He founded his own record company, Heart Records, and began vistuario use the characteristic red and black with the symbol of the heart. He recorded three albums under the label Heart.
1987-1991: Returned to work as a soloist, and in the year '89, he recorded an album with his son, Orlando. In 1990 she organized a whole new, expanded the instrumentation of two trumpets winds and a saxophone, and so with their new sound, continued touring and performing.
1991-2002: In '91, Earthworks / Virgin released a compilation of previously recorded material in the seal heart, and distributed worldwide. Also during this period, he recorded two albums more (one recorded in New York and one in Colombia), and released another hits compilation titled "The Ultimate."
2002-Present: In late 2002, a new album entitled "guaperÃa" was recorded and produced by Henry Fiol for his own company, Heart Productions. This new recording consists of seven original compositions and three adjustments Fiol old Cuban issues. In 2008 Henry Fiol recorded and produced the album "In Cheek" in Cali, Colombia with the collaboration of great musicians in Colombia. This album, in Fiol's own label, Heart Records, features nine new compositions by Henry Fiol and is available for download free us with this website.
To this day, Henry Fiol still traveling and doing performances at international level, particularly in Latin America and Europe, where, over the years, has achieved the status of being considered a "classic artist" and a favorite of all times.
